Deputy Editor

Do you have an extensive knowledge, passion for editorial journalism and alternative / rock music?

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organised individual with superior multitasking and communication skills, passion, enthusiasm and commitment are essential.

Essentially:

• Previous and relevant editorial experience required.
• An strong knowledge of alternative and rock music, its genres, artists, nuances, culture and the constant evolutions in the industry.
• Must be a dynamic, highly organised, self starter.
• Have great communication skills, interpersonal skills and be a positive team leader.
• Have a passion for producing and publishing reliable, varied, high quality and timely content in line with the editorial values of the site.
• Must have superb relationship building and communication skills: In order to forge and maintain relationships with PR, Brand, Band and Label contacts - to arrange exciting content, interviews, exclusives and competitions.
• Have strong delegation skills and the ability to get to know writers and their strengths in order to appropriately assign work.
• Strong ability to work closely with the Publisher and Editor in order to achieve goals and meet content deadlines.

Must have good copy editing abilities and be able to work effectively with all members of the team.
